I was bored at work today and started thinking about what I want to do for my Big Quarter Century Birthday that's coming up in May. Since my birthday always falls around Memorial Day weekend, I figured I would take the day off (it's the Tuesday after Memorial Day) anyway, but was trying to figure out what to do. All of the hotels we like in Austin are already booked, so that's out of the question. So I started researching on my favorite website, http://www.homeaway.com/, and realized that Cozumel is actually quite affordable, and the flight is only 2 hours direct on Continental. So, I've recruited Melissa (that was easy) and Chad and Mark and Ashley to see if they had any interest. Once they realized how much money we were talking, they were all pretty interested. There are 2 villas that we are interested in staying at...one is directly on the beach (and about an extra $75 per night) and the other is a little farther away but is on 1/2 acre and has a private pool (the owner is also very nice and has been very helpful via email).
