Ms. Bain, the teacher?

I've been contemplating getting my teacher certification for quite some time now, but have only recently really started looking into alternative certification programs. Thanks to Katie and her advice, I've started the application process for Region IV Educational Programs. I've chosen to teach high school English and Language Arts. With this program, if I have 24 hours of English in college, I would have the opportunity to start a fully paid internship right away while doing online course work that will help me get my certificate. Unfortunately, I have 21 hours of college English, so I am appealing with one of my communications courses to take the place of the missing class. If this does not work, I will have to take some state test that shows that I know what I'm talking about in the subject, so we'll see. I think this is something I will enjoy, but I know that I will, without a doubt, enjoy having lots of time off in the summer time! I'll keep everyone posted on the appeal.
